Bed Time
Bed time help for you and your child
🌙 Create a routine
Babies thrive on consistency. Doing the same calming steps (bath, feed, cuddle, lullaby) helps them know it’s time for sleep.
🛏️ Keep the sleep space calm
A quiet, dimly lit room helps set the mood. Soft lighting and a peaceful environment make it easier for your baby to settle.
🤱 Feed before bed
A full tummy can help your baby feel more content and ready to drift off.
🎵 Soothe with sound
Gentle lullabies, white noise, or soft shushing can provide comfort and mask household noises.
🧸 Comfort and closeness
A cuddle, rocking, or gentle back rub reassures your baby that bedtime is safe and secure.
⏰ Watch for sleep cues
Yawning, rubbing eyes, or fussiness are signs your baby is ready for bed. Putting them down before they’re overtired makes settling easier.

Baby-Led Weaning
Little tips that make a big difference when weaning
🪑 Wait Until They’re Ready And Be Patient
Most babies are ready for BLW around 6 months, when they can sit up and hold their head steady. Every baby is different—some may eat lots, others just nibble. Be patient and let your baby set the pace.
🥦 Start with Soft Foods
Offer easy-to-hold finger foods like steamed broccoli, soft avocado slices, or well-cooked carrot sticks.
🖐️ Let Them Lead
Encourage your baby to pick up food and explore it themselves—it’s all part of the learning process.
🥕 Offer Variety Early
Introduce different textures, colours, and flavours to help your baby become an adventurous eater.
💧 Water with Meals
Offer small sips of water in a baby cup alongside solid foods to build healthy habits.
👀 Safety First
Always supervise mealtimes. Cut foods into baby-safe sizes and avoid choking hazards like whole grapes or nuts.

Expert advice and helpful tips to make teething easier for you and your baby
Cold Comfort
Give your baby something cold to chew on, like a chilled teething ring or washcloth.
Gentle Massage
Use a clean finger to gently massage your baby's gums for relief.
Safe Pain Relief
Consult your pediatrician about appropriate pain relief options for your baby.
Distraction Techniques
Keep your baby occupied with fun activities and extra cuddles during difficult times.
🥭 Chilled First Foods
If your baby has started solids, try cold purées, yogurt, or soft fruit in a feeder. Cooling + tasty = double relief.
Teething Toys
Silicone or rubber teething rings are perfect for chewing. Make sure they’re easy to clean and chemical-free.
Bottle Feeding
Expert advice and helpful tips to make dinner time easier for you and your baby
🤱 Hold your baby close
Keep your baby upright and supported while feeding. This helps bonding and makes feeding safer.
🍼 Pace the feed
Tilt the bottle just enough to fill the teat with milk and allow little breaks, so your baby can feed at their own pace.
🌡️ Check the temperature
Test a few drops of milk on the inside of your wrist; it should feel warm, not hot.
✨ Sterilise everything
Bottles, teats, and equipment should be sterilised before every use to reduce the risk of infection.
👀 Watch for signs
Look for cues that your baby is hungry or full; don’t force them to finish a bottle if they’ve had enough.
🔄 Swap sides
Change the arm you’re holding your baby in halfway through the feed to support eye contact and even development.

Breastfeeding
Expert advice to help mum and baby at feeding time.
Get Comfortable
Find a position that works for you and your baby. Use cushions or a nursing pillow to support your back and arms—it should feel relaxed, not stressful.
Positioning and attachment
Ensure baby's body is in a straight line, held close to your body. Follow the CHINS analogy to ensure an effective latch for you and your baby
Chins
C - Close to mother. H - Head free to tilt back. I - In-line (Head and hips aligned) N - Nose to nipple S - Sustainable (Ensure comfort is sustainable for duration of feed)
Why is an effective latch important?
A deep latch will ensure baby is drawing a wide mouthful of breast tissue, this prevents nipple pain and soreness whilst maintaining effective milk transfer.
Benefits of breastfeeding
Breastfeeding provides optimal nutrition and immunity, reducing the risk of various illnesses and promotes healthy development. Breastfeeding fosters a strong emotional bond between mother and baby through skin to skin contact and releases oxytocin, a hormone associated with bonding.
Stay hydrated and nourished
Keep a big glass of water nearby and snack on healthy foods. Breastfeeding uses up energy, so fuelling yourself matters too.
